Fun with a Dummy!

ACard­Party was held on Mon­day April 11. Cards were played at 6 ta­bles. We were short a player, so we had to play with a Dummy. Some folks even got skunked by our lady Dummy; Linda Grenon & Lorna Lun­de­borg to name a few. Af­ter a fun filled af­ter­noon we tal­lied up the scores. Meryl Nut­brown won ladies high, with Jan­ice Big­bie claim­ing ladies 2nd. Gents high went to Mer­rill Gre­nier. Gents 2nd to Deb­bie Smith play­ing as a gent. 9 no trump went to Meryl Nut­brown. A trick with the 5 of hearts was won by Betty Davis. 9 of spades bid went to Sue Ni­chols. Door prizes went to Les­lie Bliss, Gail Gre­nier, Sue Ni­chols, Betty Davis, Bud Wing, Bar­bara Gos­selin, Greta Nish, Alice Boomhower, Elvera Pat­ter­son, Bar­bara Wing, Mar­ian St.Onge, Andy Davis, Casey Vriensendorp, Lorna Lun­de­borg, Archie StOnge, Bob Nish, Jack Kimp­ton, Karen Pat­ter­son and Es­ther Cote. Spe­cial prizes were claimed by Alan Bul­lock, Char­lene Jo­hann, Gail Gre­nier, Andy Davis, Linda Grenon, Bob Nish, Les­lie Bliss, Bar­bara Wing, Sue Ni­chols, Betty Davis, Mer­rill Gre­nier, Taryn Otto-Smith and Deb­bie Smith. On be­half of the group we would like to thank Bar­bara Wing, Mer­rill & Gail Gre­nier, Les­lie Bliss, Mar­ion Cox and Meryl Nut­brown for do­nat­ing prizes. To the Stanstead Jour­nal for print­ing our write-ups. To each of you who come to sup­port us. Our next one will be on April 25th. We will also have one on April 16th for the Ceme­tery. Both at 1:30 p.m. Lorna Lun­de­borg was sur­prized by her friends when she was pre­sented with a birth­day cake. Ev­ery­one sang “Happy Birth­day” to her. All the best Lorna!
