Marijuana found in a Stanstead home
Two people, a 46 year old man and his wife of 43, will soon appear before a judge at the Sherbrooke Courthouse for producing marijuana and having marijuana in their possession for trafficking. An unidentified person had tipped off the Quebec police about the grow-op. When the police arrived at their home on Gendron road in Stanstead, in March, the couple had not had time to hide their production.
In the basement of the single house, the police found at least 100 plants of marijuana of different sizes and heights. The police also laid their hands on all the equipment used in the production of the marijuana. Also seized on the property were five Ziplop bags that contained two and one half pounds of marijuana, all set to hit the market. Finally, a certain amount of money was confiscated.
