Sec­ond An­nual Peren­nial Ex­change

TheS­tanstead Em­bel­lish­ment Com­mit­tee will be hold­ing their sec­ond an­nual peren­nial ex­change on Satur­day, May 28th at Town Hall. The event will take place for an hour, com­menc­ing at 1:00 p.m. In or­der to take part, cit­i­zens must bring a peren­nial in or­der to ex­change it for an­other. The town is not pro­vid­ing the plants, but sim­ply the venue where gar­den­ing en­thu­si­asts can ex­change plants with one an­other. The peren­ni­als are to be in good health and have an es­tab­lished root sys­tem in or­der to be trans­planted suc­cess­fully. The town will also be giv­ing away small trees to lo­cals of­fer­ing proof of res­i­dency. The species of trees avail­able are pine, spruce, yel­low birch and red oak. The trees are young saplings stand­ing about a foot tall.
