‘BARK FOR YOUR PARK’
PetSafe to award one U.S. community $100,000 toward a dog park
DerbyVermont has gone to the dogs and needs your support! Let’s give our furry friends a pet-friendly place they can call their own – a new dog park from PetSafe.
PetSafe announces the launch of “Bark for Your Park,” a national contest through which one U.S. city or town will be awarded $100,000 toward building a local dog park.
To voice your support for Derby go to www.barkforyourpark. com/city/Derby_Vermont
All portions of the contest are accessible on www.barkforyourpark.com. Here’s how the contest works:
Stage 1: SHOW YOUR SUPPORT - Get friends, family members, community leaders and everyone in your city to visit us online now through JUNE 1st and log their support for a dog park by clicking on ‘Show Your Support’ tab and follow the online directions. We want to see tons of community enthusiasm.
Stage 2: FINALISTS SELECTED - Based on the information provided about each city, PetSafe will evaluate community support, availability of land and resources and overall impact of a dog park to the community to select 15 finalists. PetSafe will post short videos about each of the finalist cities on or around July 13.
Stage 3: If Derby shows enough support in Stage 1 to be selected as a finalist you will then be eligible for Stage 3 Voting and the chance to win $100,000 for your park!
To become a finalist for the “Bark for Your Park” contest, PetSafe encourages community members to partner with local officials, animal shelters and welfare groups, animal professionals and pet owners to best demonstrate the city’s enthusiasm and dedication to its pet community.
