Choromondo sings for Mae Sot

Choromon­dois a 25 voice women’s choir of Ver­mont and Town­ships singers di­rected by its founder, Al­lyna Har­ris. The choir is dy­namic, in­for­mal and un­usual...the group dresses in a rain­bow of colours and sings an eclec­tic mix of tra­di­tional mu­sic from all over the world!

This year’s con­certs will take place on Fri­day, June 10th, 7 pm, at Stanstead South Church, and on Satur­day, June 11th, 7 pm, at Bishop’s Univer­sity in Ban­deen Hall. The con­cert will in­clude songs from South Africa, Croa­tia, West Africa, Bul­garia, Repub­lic of Congo, Spain, Mace­do­nia and more!

Choromondo’s 12th an­nual ben­e­fit con­certs will sup­port the East­ern Town­ships Mae Sot Pro­ject with Burmese refugees along the Thai bor­der. Each year Mae Sot sends vol­un­teer stu­dents from Cham­plain Col­lege and Bishop’s Univer­sity to teach Burmese mi­grant chil­dren.
