Trees from MCI

Stanstead Journal - - NEWS BRIEF - Staff Austin

Wasit the weather, the soil is still soaked from the rainy spring, but the usual line-ups at the opening of the Memphremagog Conservation Inc. annual tree giving event were not there, much to the dismay of Gisèle Lacasse Benoît, the organization’s president. Half an hour later, things were getting back to normal at the Austin distribution point and she was once again explaining what species goes best here or there. Other posts were also giving 3000 trees away at the same time in Fitch Bay and Magog, The trees come from the Quebec government farms and are provided by l’Association for- estière de l’Estrie.

As is usual, Mrs. Lacasse Benoit wants to remind all of the free services offered by MCI, most of them explained at memphremagog.org where you can also register as a member.
