Susan Valyi And Catherine Huet-Measroch At Studio Georgeville
in the front door of Studio Georgeville between June 28 and July 10, and you’ll feel as if you’ve travelled to another planet. In this new exhibit, entitled Mutations, Ontario artist Susan Valyi’s eccentric collection of animal/ human sculptures—built from an equally eccentric composite of found materials—will intrigue and amuse adult and young viewers. The gallery will also feature the spare, warmly coloured paintings of Montrealer Catherine Huët-Measroch, whose theme centres on the search for the elusive, rebellious female spirit. The vernissage for the Valyi and Huet-Measroch exhibition will be held on Saturday, July 2, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Studio Georgeville, 20 Carré Copp, in the heart of the village of Georgeville. Please note that Studio Georgeville switches to summer hours on June 28; until late September the gallery will be open from Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. For more information about this show and other events at Studio Georgeville, please call 819-843-9992, visit www.studiogeorgeville.comor email email@example.com.
