Stanstead Journal - - SUDOKU - North Hat­ley G. Ketcham

The Stanstead County Wo­mans In­sti­tute meet­ing was held on March 29th in North Hat­ley with Mar­garet Belec open­ing the meet­ing. 14 mem­bers re­peated the col­lect and there was a min­utes si­lence for de­parted mem­bers. Sec­re­tary Deb­bie Smith read the min­utes of the last 2 meet­ings. A cer­tifi­cate of ap­pre­ci­a­tion was awarded to Thelma Burn­ham. Trea­surer Phyl­lis Dustin read her re­port. Con­ven­ers re­ports for 2010 were read by Phyl­lis for agri­cul­ture and by Scot­tie for com­mu­nity Liv­ing. Mar­garet Belec read her letter of res­ig­na­tion for her years as county Pres­i­dent.

Of­fi­cers for the year 2011: Vice Pres­i­dent Janet McKel­lan, Sec­re­tary Deb­bie Smith, Trea­surer Phyl­lis Dustin, Ed­u­ca­tion Irene Humphrey, Com­mu­nity Liv­ing Scot­tie Miller, Pub­lic­ity G. Ketcham. As there was a va­cancy for Pres­i­dent Vice Pres­i­dent Janet McLel­lan took over for the rest of the meet­ing. We are sup­posed to make 8 ta­ble fa­vors for the con­ven­tion and there may be some mem­bers at­tend­ing the con­ven­tion which cel­e­brates the 100 year an­niver­sary. Af­ter the meet­ing North Hat­ley mem­bers served a de­li­cious lunch.
