80 km/h school zone limit
Once again showing the special intelligence given to charge holders (the real translation of fonctionnaires) the Ministère des Transports du Quebec has refused the Municipality of Ayer’s Cliff’s request to slow to 50km/h the speed limit imposed in front of the College des Servites, even if a D-270-3-D sign is there showing a play area for 150 meters. A D-270-3-D sign indicates a danger according to the MTQ’s own specifications available on its specialized web site: www.mtqsignalisation.mtq.gouv.qc.ca. The signage is so complex that one wonders who can dream of it. Coming from the autoroute, there are signs for 80 km, then in rapid succession a sign announcing a 50km zone coming soon, followed 20 meters after with
