Lo­cal art fes­ti­val opens Satur­day

The ninth edi­tion of the Ge­orgeville – Fitch Bay Fes­ti­val des Arts kicks off this week­end. Forty-one lo­cal artists will show­case their work at three lo­ca­tions: Mur­ray Me­mo­rial Hall and the Grange Ele­phant, both in Ge­orgeville, and at the Stanstead Town­ship town hall, in Fitch Bay. The vernissage will take place this Fri­day, July 15th, from 5 to 7 pm, at the three lo­ca­tions. The fes­ti­val will run from July 16th to July 24th with the sites open ev­ery day from 10 am to 5 pm. Don’t miss this op­por­tu­nity to see some of the fan­tas­tic work done by our lo­cal artists. The dif­fer­ent types of art on ex­hibit in­clude acrylic, oil and wa­ter­colour paint­ing, pho­tog­ra­phy, stained glass, wood sculp­ture, jew­ellery and more.
