Summer exhibit at Haskell

Stanstead Journal - - STANSTEAD JOURNAL - Stanstead

After a spring season at the City Hall of Magog with the solo exhibition «Voyage des Saisons» ( Journey of the Seasons), the watercolorist Claudette Barrette continues her journey to the Haskell Free Library, of Stanstead, a unique place that has been classified as a historic site by the Governments of Quebec, Canada and the United States.

From July 5th to the 29th, 2011, you will be able to travel among watercolors where the patterns are pronounced, sometimes more transparent or diffuse. Some are enhanced by the addition of mortier or ink, protected by a quality framework or ‘marouflées’ and varnished.

The artist draws her inspiration from the Townships environment, her travels and the beauty of nature according to the seasons.

People are welcome to visit this exhibition at the Haskell Free Library , 1 Church Street, from Tuesday to Saturday inclusive, during the opening hours.
