Fron­tier An­i­mal So­ci­ety’s theatre fundraiser

A fundraiser for the Fron­tier An­i­mal So­ci­ety is be­ing held this week­end in the form of a com­edy which is be­ing pre­sented at the Pig­gery Theatre this Fri­day, Au­gust 5th, 8:00 pm. Two Old Bags and a Geezer present sex, death and laun­dry is a com­edy writ­ten by Mary Harvey and stars Emma Stevens, Pina Macku and Frank Fon­taine. Tick­ets can be bought by call­ing the shel­ter at 876-7785, from Mary Rol­land at 819 838-1421, or at the door as long as there are tick­ets left. Sev­eral door prizes will be given out at the per­for­mance.

“It’s al­ready time to start think­ing about the win­ter; we’ll use the money from the fundraiser to help pay for elec­tric­ity and heat­ing, and ma­te­ri­als,” com­mented the So­ci­ety’s pres­i­dent, Joyce Dekker. The an­i­mal shel­ter can al­ways use do­na­tions of old blan­kets and tow­els, pet sham­poos and pet food.
