MCI’S Annual Meeting Memphremagog
Conservation Inc. held its 44th General Assembly last Saturday, August 6th. Several reports were deposited including that of the three patrollers who travel around the lake 7 days a week to instruct people who live along the shore about good environmental practises, watch for blue-green algae blooms, and take regular samples for the MDDEP.
Besides the strict surveillance of the lake, MCI is working on its new “Volet Conservation” to convince private land owners to protect natural environments and ecosystems.
The new administrative council of the organization is composed of Gisèle Lacasse Benoit, Claude Bernier, Robert Benoit, Anne Boswall, Hubert Cabana, JeanClaude Duff, Judith Jacobi, Jean-Philippe Joyal, Tom Kovacs, Johanne Lavoie, Peter Lepine, Madeleine SaintPierre, Pat Trudel and Susan Watson.
