Sunday August 21, at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., the Louis S. St. Laurent National Historic Site hosts the Homebrew Dixieland Band to cast a spell over the spectators with its traditional New Orleans jazz. Homebrew Dixieland Band is composed of Stanley Lake on trumpet, Sylvie Goupil on clarinet, Dave Reilly on trombone, Claude Prud’homme on guitar, Simon Estérez on bass and Jean Lavigne on percussions. For more than eighteen years, this group from the Eastern Townships draws its inspiration from good old New Orleans jazz to bring new life to old classics. Their music, which features brass instruments, the clarinet and an upbeat attitude, are guaranteed to make you dance! Come listen to tunes from Louis Armstrong, King Oliver, Irving Berlin as well as many other surprises . . .
