QNEK puts on fundraiser for storm victims
QNEK Productions, the International Theatre Company in Residence at the Haskell Opera House, will dedicate all proceeds of the Thursday, Sept 15, 7:30 p.m. performance of their signature show, Dan Goggin’s renowned musical “Nunsense”, to Benefit the Vermont Victims of Hurricane Irene. We hope you will support the cause.
So many of our fellow Vermonters have been devastated by this storm that the “Little Sisters of Hoboken” wanted to help. If you cannot attend Thursday evening, subsequent performances will run September 16, 17 at 7:30 p.m. and September 18, matinee at 2:00 (audio described by the VT Council for the Blind). The show stars Anita Morin as Sister Robert Ann; Sally Rivard as Sister Mary Amnesia; Emily May as Sister Hubert; Ruth-ann Fletcher as Sister Mary Leo; and Lynn Leimer as the irreverent Reverend Mother. Janice Gluck, Musical Director, plays keyboard for the show, accompanied by Sean Mcallister on the drums. This is the 25th Anniversary of Nunsense nationwide and for those of you who have never seen Nunsense or even if it’s your 25th time seeing Nunsense, you will not be disappointed with the riotous romp through THE Musical of humorous musicals. Some lucky patron will win a certificate to a pair of Adult 1-day Jay Peak lift tickets. Visit www.haskellopera.org, www.qnek.com, or call 802-334-2216 for more information and tickets. The Haskell Opera House is located at 93 Caswell Avenue, Derby Line, VT and 1 Church Street, Stanstead, QC. This show is underwritten by Heron’s Path, Paul Decelles, Investment Planning, Community National Bank, and Jay Peak.
