Nancy Brown Invitational kicks off school soccer
Alexander Galt High School hosted the 34th Nancy Brown Invitational Soccer Tournament, last Wednesday, hosting teams from Stanstead College, Richmond Regional, Massey Vanier Regional and Bishop’s College School. Fun was had by all under sunny skies. Field Conditions were very wet after the heavy rains that had fallen the night before. The teams from Galt were winners at all levels but the season should show lots of opportunities by all schools to do well.
In the Bantam Division, where Galt has two teams (Galt and Pipers), The Galt team won all four games while the Pipers won 2, lost one and tied one. Two wins for Richmond, one win for MVR and 0 wins for Stanstead College. Galt swept the junior division also with three wins and one tie. Richmond had three wins and one loss, Stanstead one win, one loss and two ties, MVR one win, two losses and one tie, and BCS had 0 wins. In senior play Galt had three wins and one tie, Stanstead had two wins, one loss and one tie, BCS had two wins and two losses, MVR had one win, one loss and two ties while Richmond had 0 wins.
Galt’s Bantam boys beat MasseyVanier 6 to 1. Scoring for Galt were Matthew Littlejohn, Mathieu Dostie, Matthew HornyBrook,Tristen Boivin, Dawson Andrews and Jacob Page. Patrice Lefebvre scored for MVR.
