CLD launches fundraiser

The tourism branch of the Memphremagog CLD has launched a fundraiser to collect money for the Club des petits dejeuners du Quebec (CPDQ) which serves roughly 18,000 breakfasts to school children annually. The organization is working with several local inns until October 17th to raise the money.

Guests at the participating inns will get a serving of ‘reality’ with their breakfasts as servers have been instructed to explain about the cause to the clients and ask if they are interested in donating. “I was happily surprised with the interest and generosity shown by our clients. This morning, a client put a twenty dollar bill in my donation box,” commented Francine Bergeron, the owner of one of the participating inns, Au Chant du Coq.
