More welcome at Stanstead Day Centre

Stanstead Journal - - FORUM -

The Stanstead CLSC’s Day Centre has been operating for a year now and there is room for a few more participants. Open every Thursday from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm, the Centre has been offering services and activities by qualified personnel for English and French seniors living with a loss of autonomy.

The activities, quiz games, board games, memory games, crafts and physical activity such as bowling, darts and more, help those taking part, people with cognitive or physical handicaps, to maintain the abilities that they have. The workshops are all bilingual and clients may eat dinner, provided by Meals on Wheels, on site. The Day Centre also gives the caregivers of their clients a much-needed respite once a week.

Anyone who is interested in this program must first be evaluated by a Social Worker. For more information or to register call toll-free at 1 800 268-2572 and ask for social intake services.
