Local men targeted in Coulombe family affair
Two men from the local region, Lyford Flanders and Dave Crook, were the targets of a murder conspiracy that was discovered by the Surete du Quebec earlier this week. According to the police, Raymond Coulombe, who has been behind bars at the Sherbrooke jailhouse since June after being implicated in a series of arsons committed against culvert businesses that competed against his own, ordered the murders. The two men are scheduled to testify against Raymond Coulombe in court on October 21st.
Also accused in the plot are Coulombe’s wife, Gail Wheeler, and his son, Tylor Coulombe, who were intercepted by undercover officers in a restaurant in Waterloo with firearms. All three will now face charges of conspiracy to commit murder, possession of restricted firearms and possession of firearms without the proper permits. All three are behind bars.
