Ayer’s Cliff Legion donates to CAB
Last Thursday, several members of the Ayer’s Cliff Legion Branch 128 presented a cheque of $2000 to the CAB R.H. Rediker, in Stanstead. It was the second donation under the MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) Partnership that the organization has with Branch 128. “The money is used to come to the aid of Veterans or members of their family, to assure an assistance to these individuals that the CAB’S
programs don’t cover. And we’re trying to be more present in Ayer’s Cliff so it’s nice to have Ayer’s Cliff contacts and support,” commented Mylene Labonté, the director of the CAB RH Rediker.
“It was the money left in our Poppy Campaign from last year and since we are starting a new campaign, we transferred the rest of that money to the CAB. The Poppy fund is a national institution with strict rules: to help Veterans and family members of Veterans. There is no overhead and no administration fees for handling the money,” explained Brigadier-general (ret’d) Robin Gagnon, the president of the Ayer’s Cliff Legion.
