Cre­at­ing art is good for the soul!

Anewini­tia­tive of Town­ship­pers’ As­so­ci­a­tion’s With Re­spect to Our El­ders project, the Heal­ing Ben­e­fits of Art, Mu­sic and Laugh­ter: A Cel­e­bra­tion of Com­mu­nity is com­ing to Cen­ten­nial The­atre in Len­noxville on Sun­day, Novem­ber 13. The af­ter­noon event will in­clude an in­ter­ac­tive multi-me­dia show, work­shops and a spe­cial re­cep­tion for par­tic­i­pants that will in­clude minipresen­ta­tions and a com­mu­nity cre­ativ­ity and re­source ex­change. The show will be­gin at 1:30 p.m. and ac­tiv­i­ties will con­tinue un­til 4:30 p.m.

The Heal­ing Ben­e­fits of Art, Mu­sic and Laugh­ter is a unique event that marks the cul­mi­na­tion of three years’ worth of in­ter­gen­er­a­tional mu­sic fes­ti­vals and art work­shops, such as those which have taken place in com­mu­ni­ties such as Rich­mond, Stanstead, Bed­ford, Stan­bridge-east, Lac Brome, Sher­brooke and Ma­gog.

The goals of this au­tumn’s Heal­ing Ben­e­fits of Art, Mu­sic and Laugh­ter event are: to bring to­gether peo­ple of dif­fer­ent ages and cul­tures who might not other­wise meet; to in­spire par­tic­i­pants; to cel­e­brate cre­ativ­ity; and, last but not least, to give
