The

Mem­phrem­a­gog MRC’S CLD re­cently gave a grant of $28,485 to the Co­op­er­a­tive de sol­i­dar­ité de ser­vices a domi­cile Mem­phrem­a­gog (CSSDM). The

money came from the Fonds de développe­ment et de con­sol­i­da­tion des en­treprises d’economie so­ciale.

The money will go to­wards the $286,000 project of the CSSDM to ac­quire the build­ing where they are presently lo­cated as well as carry out work to bet­ter adapt the lo­cale to their needs and those of their grow­ing clien­tele.

The mis­sion of the CSSDM is to of­fer home ser­vices to the en­tire pop­u­la­tion of the Mem­phrem­a­gog MRC. Those ser­vices in­clude light house­keep­ing, respite for care­givers, ac­com­pa­ni­ment on er­rands, help with daily tasks, prepa­ra­tion and help with meals, big house­clean­ing jobs and in­te­rior and ex­te­rior main­te­nance jobs. The CSSDM has al­most one hun­dred em­ploy­ees and about 1500 ac­tive mem­bers.
