North Hatley added to list
The Village of North Hatley has been added to the list of Quebec municipalities that will get money from the Programme d’aide financiere specifique related to the abundant rainfall and violent winds that occurred last August 28th and 29th, causing excessive damage. This government program is a ‘last resort’ kind of help for damages caused to main residences and municipal infrastructures that aren’t covered by insurance. Other nearby municipalities that were previously accepted for the programme related to the events of last August are: Austin, Ayer’s Cliff, Bury, Coaticook, Compton, Cookshire-eaton, Dixville, Eastman, Canton Hatley, Hatley, Magog, Melbourne, Potton, Ste-catherine-de-hatley, Sherbrooke, Stanstead and Waterville.
