on Satur­day in Hat­ley by Jean Cass and laid on Sun­day in Ayer’s Cliff by Phyl­lis Dustin. Velma Eryou read her trea­sur­ers re­port show­ing we had a sat­is­fac­tory bal­ance, with all bills paid. Next was the hand­ing in the an­nual Com­mit­tee Re­ports which will be sent to the County Con­venors. Un­der new Busi­ness, do­na­tions were made to The Wales Homes, Hat­ley United Church, Vi­tae Ar­gyll and The Royal Cana­dian Le­gion for Armistice cross. Phyl­lis gave a short pres­i­dent’s ad­dress. Elec­tion of Of­fi­cers for the year 2012 were, Pres­i­dent, Phyl­lis Dustin; Vice Pres­i­dent, Jean Cass; 1st Vice Pres­i­dent, Elane Wilson; Sec­re­tary, Barb He­witt, Trea­surer, Velma Eryou;, and branch County Rep. Barb He­witt. Con­venors for Agri­cul­ture : Phyl­lis Dustin and Jean Cass, Health and Com­mu­nity Liv­ing : Gertrude Ketcham and Scotty Miller, Ed­u­ca­tion : Irene Humphrey and Elvera Pat­ter­son, Pub­lic­ity : Elane Wilson and Jackie Tilton; Sun­shine : Scotty Miller. It was de­cided to bring greet­ing cards and stamps to our next meet­ing for Scotty to use. A noon lun­cheon was served by the group. A de­li­cious corn chow­der was made by Scotty Miller, French bread, egg salad, cheese and crack­ers were fol­lowed by home­made fudge and won­der­ful desserts made by Jean Cass. In the af­ter­noon we got down to the busi­ness of pre­par­ing our 2012 pro­gram. Last but very im­por­tant, we planned our Christ­mas party menu. Our meet­ing closed at 3 p.m. with a feel­ing we had a very pro­duc­tive and en­joy­able day.
