Science fair at Galt to­mor­row

Withinthe com­ing days sev­eral lo­cal high schools will be host­ing science fairs, be­gin­ning with Alexan­der Galt High School which is hold­ing a fair on Thurs­day, Jan­uary 26th. The level one stu­dents will host their fair from 10:45 am to 11:45 am while the level two stu­dents’ fair will be from 1:15 pm to 2:05 pm.

Other schools hold­ing fairs are: Col­lege Mont Sacré Coeur on Jan­uary 27th on the lunch hour; the Sem­i­naire de Sher­brooke on Jan­uary 31st from 10:40 am to 2:20 pm; and Massey Vanier Re­gional which is hold­ing a two day science fair on Fe­bru­ary 1st and 2nd from 9:05 am to 3:40 pm each day.

Teach­ers and stu­dents have been pre­par­ing their projects with the goal of wow­ing the pub­lic and show­ing their sci­en­tific po­ten­tial. Be­sides of­fer­ing stu­dents the op­por­tu­nity to show their dis­cov­er­ies to the pub­lic and to their peers, sev­eral of the projects will be cho­sen to par­tic­i­pate in the Expo-sciences Hy­dro-que­bec Es­trie re­gional fi­nal. Win­ners of that event will con­tinue on to the Que­bec fi­nal, the Cana­dian fi­nal and pos­si­bly even an in­ter­na­tional com­pe­ti­tion!

Ev­ery­one is wel­come to at­tend these science fairs and see what the sci­en­tists of the fu­ture are work­ing on!

Science fairs are be­ing held at lo­cal high schools, in­clud­ing at Alexan­der Galt, in the com­ing days and are all open to the pub­lic. Come out and en­cour­age our young sci­en­tists!
