Science fair at Galt tomorrow
Withinthe coming days several local high schools will be hosting science fairs, beginning with Alexander Galt High School which is holding a fair on Thursday, January 26th. The level one students will host their fair from 10:45 am to 11:45 am while the level two students’ fair will be from 1:15 pm to 2:05 pm.
Other schools holding fairs are: College Mont Sacré Coeur on January 27th on the lunch hour; the Seminaire de Sherbrooke on January 31st from 10:40 am to 2:20 pm; and Massey Vanier Regional which is holding a two day science fair on February 1st and 2nd from 9:05 am to 3:40 pm each day.
Teachers and students have been preparing their projects with the goal of wowing the public and showing their scientific potential. Besides offering students the opportunity to show their discoveries to the public and to their peers, several of the projects will be chosen to participate in the Expo-sciences Hydro-quebec Estrie regional final. Winners of that event will continue on to the Quebec final, the Canadian final and possibly even an international competition!
Everyone is welcome to attend these science fairs and see what the scientists of the future are working on!
Science fairs are being held at local high schools, including at Alexander Galt, in the coming days and are all open to the public. Come out and encourage our young scientists!
