Another success for Speed dating
Despite a winter storm, the 2012 edition of Speed Dating de l’emploi de Magog, organized by the Carrefour Jeunesse-emploi Memphremagog (CJE) at La Ruche high school, was a success with a total of 175 participants. Combining short interviews with employers, placement agency kiosks, a full employment ‘wall’ as well as a conference about the hidden employment market, this winning formula was appreciated not only by those looking for work, but also by the employers looking for workers.
“We love the formula for the short interviews and everything was wellorganized. Bravo!” commented Mauricio Martinez of the Magog enterprise Nivateck Inc. “There were a good variety of employers present and we were happy to meet with some interesting candidates,” said Richard Caron of the CSSS Memphremagog.
More than eighty people took part in over 135, fiveminute interviews. Besides the positions being offered by the employers present, there were another forty positions posted on the wall of employment. Eighty-five CVS were collected for those jobs. About thirty people listened to the conferences Comment reprendre du pouvoir sur sa recherché d’emploi.
The third edition of the Job Speed Dating event, held last Saturday at La Ruche high school, was attended by 175 job seekers.
