An­other suc­cess for Speed dat­ing

De­spite a win­ter storm, the 2012 edi­tion of Speed Dat­ing de l’emploi de Ma­gog, or­ga­nized by the Car­refour Je­unesse-emploi Mem­phrem­a­gog (CJE) at La Ruche high school, was a suc­cess with a to­tal of 175 par­tic­i­pants. Com­bin­ing short in­ter­views with em­ploy­ers, place­ment agency kiosks, a full em­ploy­ment ‘wall’ as well as a con­fer­ence about the hid­den em­ploy­ment mar­ket, this win­ning for­mula was ap­pre­ci­ated not only by those look­ing for work, but also by the em­ploy­ers look­ing for work­ers.

“We love the for­mula for the short in­ter­views and ev­ery­thing was wellor­ga­nized. Bravo!” com­mented Mauri­cio Martinez of the Ma­gog en­ter­prise Ni­vateck Inc. “There were a good va­ri­ety of em­ploy­ers present and we were happy to meet with some in­ter­est­ing can­di­dates,” said Richard Caron of the CSSS Mem­phrem­a­gog.

More than eighty peo­ple took part in over 135, fiveminute in­ter­views. Be­sides the po­si­tions be­ing of­fered by the em­ploy­ers present, there were an­other forty po­si­tions posted on the wall of em­ploy­ment. Eighty-five CVS were col­lected for those jobs. About thirty peo­ple lis­tened to the con­fer­ences Com­ment repren­dre du pou­voir sur sa recher­ché d’emploi.

The third edi­tion of the Job Speed Dat­ing event, held last Satur­day at La Ruche high school, was at­tended by 175 job seek­ers.
