Canada Games mas­cot com­ing to town

The­mas­cot of the 2013 Canada Games, a ruby-throated hum­ming­bird, will be vis­it­ing lo­cal schools next Mon­day, April 2nd. The aim of the vis­its are to raise aware­ness about the com­ing games but also to find a name for the mas­cot. Young peo­ple un­der 18 years of age have un­til April 22nd to think up a name for the ‘flighty fel­low’.

The schools be­ing vis­ited are Jardin des Fron­tieres in Stanstead, St. Barthelemy in Ayer’s Cliff, Do­minique Savio in Ste-cather­ine de Hat­ley, and La Ruche high school in Ma­gog.
