Rachel Hunt­ing as New Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor

Rachel Hunt­ing, of Sher­brooke, has been se­lected as the new Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor of Town­ship­pers’ As­so­ci­a­tion, Ger­ald Cut­ting an­nounced to­day. Hunt­ing, who has worked for the past three years as the co­or­di­na­tor of the Len­noxville Youth Cen­tre, will be­gin to grad­u­ally take on the po­si­tion of Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor of the As­so­ci­a­tion in the com­ing weeks.

“Speak­ing as the Pres­i­dent of Town­ship­pers’ As­so­ci­a­tion, I am de­lighted with the se­lec­tion of Ms. Hunt­ing to the post of Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor” Mr. Ger­ald Cut­ting stated. “Her back­ground in com­mu­nity in­volve­ment and youth de­vel­op­ment have pre­pared her well for the chal­lenges in­her­ent in the lead­er­ship role she is about to em­bark upon in the com­ing days.” Hunt­ing will grad­u­ally take over du­ties from cur­rent ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor In­grid Marini over the course of the month of April 2012. Marini, who took on the role of ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor in June 2010, is leav­ing the As­so­ci­a­tion to pur­sue a new ca­reer in the field of public re­la­tions and com­mu­ni­ca­tions. Hunt­ing is ex­cited about the chal­lenges that lie ahead. “While I have en­joyed my time serv­ing the lo­cal com­mu­nity at the helm of the Len­noxville Youth Cen­ter im­mensely,” Hunt­ing said, “it is with great plea­sure that I ac­cept this nom­i­na­tion and look for­ward to the op­por­tu­nity to pos­i­tively im­pact the broader English­s­peak­ing com­mu­nity as part of such an in­flu­en­tial and well­re­spected or­ga­ni­za­tion.”
