Rachel Hunting as New Executive Director
Rachel Hunting, of Sherbrooke, has been selected as the new Executive Director of Townshippers’ Association, Gerald Cutting announced today. Hunting, who has worked for the past three years as the coordinator of the Lennoxville Youth Centre, will begin to gradually take on the position of Executive Director of the Association in the coming weeks.
“Speaking as the President of Townshippers’ Association, I am delighted with the selection of Ms. Hunting to the post of Executive Director” Mr. Gerald Cutting stated. “Her background in community involvement and youth development have prepared her well for the challenges inherent in the leadership role she is about to embark upon in the coming days.” Hunting will gradually take over duties from current executive director Ingrid Marini over the course of the month of April 2012. Marini, who took on the role of executive director in June 2010, is leaving the Association to pursue a new career in the field of public relations and communications. Hunting is excited about the challenges that lie ahead. “While I have enjoyed my time serving the local community at the helm of the Lennoxville Youth Center immensely,” Hunting said, “it is with great pleasure that I accept this nomination and look forward to the opportunity to positively impact the broader Englishspeaking community as part of such an influential and wellrespected organization.”
