New CD for Chris Rawl­ings

Stanstead East ap­ple pro­ducer and mu­si­cian, Chris Rawl­ings, of­fi­cially launched his lat­est CD, Au­tumn Gold, re­cently in Toronto. This new CD con­tains Chris’ un­re­leased songs from all stages in his ca­reer, in­clud­ing some cov­ered by dif­fer­ent artists and bands. About half of the songs are live per­for­mances.

Some no­table artists that have sup­port­ing roles on the CD are: Anna Mcgar­rigle and Wade Hemsworth, har­mony on Log Driver’s Waltz; Ron Dann, pedal steel on A Farewell to Que­bec; the late Scott Lang, elec­tric gui­tar on House of D; Gilles Losier, fid­dle on Hey Rene and Log Driver; Mon­treal 60s/70s folk rock group Rings and Things do­ing a jazz/blues ver­sion of What about the Wind, one of Mr. Rawl­ings’ ear­li­est songs.

Ac­cord­ing to Mr. Rawl­ings, Mac users should down­load di­rectly from itunes or Cd Baby, not Band­camp. His site, www.chris­rawl­ is em­bed­ded in Band­camp and is best for com­plete lis­ten­ing (best sound qual­ity and com­down­load for­mats for PC users.
