Less ac­ci­dents in Es­trie

The SAAQ has re­leased its road ac­ci­dent sta­tis­tics for the year 2011. Twenty-three peo­ple lost their lives on the roads of the re­gion, down five from 2010. There were 94 peo­ple badly wounded on the roads, down 42 from 2010. The num­ber of peo­ple who were slightly in­jured went down from 1,679 in 2010 to 1,596 in 2011. In all of Que­bec the to­tals for 2011 were 479 deaths, 2,036 se­ri­ously wounded, and 39,388 peo­ple slightly wounded.
