April 21, the Stanstead County Hor­ti­cul­tural So­ci­ety held the first in a se­ries of three card par­ties, in the din­ing hall at the fair were played at nine ta­bles. Af­ter a fun filled af­ter­noon scores were added up. Ladies High prize went to Ghis­laine Leblond (6140).Ladies 2nd went to Alda Brus (5980). Gents High was claimed by Bud Wing (5440) Gents 2nd to Andy Davis (5380). Skunk prize was taken home by Steve Brus. 10 of any­thing bid went to Jean Martin.door prizes were won by Steve Brus, Jean Martin, Eddy Dubois, Les­lie Bliss, Royce Wal­lace, Casey V.,karen Pat­ter­son, Har­ris Ols­son, Es­ther Rolle­ston, Mead Bald­win, Bea Juby, Denis Cor­riveau, Phyl­lis Dustin, Gearge Peasley, Jack Kimp­ton, Louise Bald­win, Louise Peasley, Alan Bul­lock, and Hazel Mark­well. Spe­cial Prizes were won by Alan Bul­lock,louise Peasley, Bar­bara Wing, Betty Davis, Elvera Pat­ter­son, Alda Brus, Bea Juby, Mead Bald­win, Deb­bie Smith, Karen Pat­ter­son, Mar­sha Wal­lis, He­lena Mccomb, Har­ris Ols­son,eddy Dubois, and Jack Kimp­ton.
