Stanstead Journal - - NEWS BRIEFS -

During the Sherbrooke council meeting on May 22nd, phase II of the project to connect the Borough of Lennoxville to the JM Jeanson water network was authorized. The work is estimated at $2,500,000 and will take place in 2013. The City will pay entirely for the work with funds from the gas excise program. A study of the water situation at the three Lennoxville wells indicated a degree of vulnerability. Since 2002, there have been seven boiling notices issued.
