Choromondo to Sing Two Ben­e­fit Con­certs

Choromon­do­has been bring­ing women to­gether from the East­ern Town­ships of Que­bec and Ver­mont to sing eclec­tic world mu­sic for 13 years and is di­rected by Que­bec artist and com­poser Al­lyna Har­ris. The group of 25 women sings tra­di­tional vo­cal mu­sic from around the globe, of­ten in­clud­ing tra­di­tional dances. Their col­or­ful cos­tumes and pas­sion­ate love of mu­sic make these per­for­mances a plea­sure for all.

This year's con­certs in­clude amaz­ing songs from South Africa, Croa­tia, Bul­garia, Ar­gentina, Pales­tine, Egypt, Is­rael, In­dia, Mace­do­nia and more!

Choromondo’s 13th an­nual ben­e­fit con­certs will sup­port the Stand Tall Ed­u­ca­tion Net­work in Uganda and the Haskell Free Li­brary. The first will take place on Fri­day, June 8th, 7:00 pm, at Sainte-Elis­a­beth Church, 3115 Caple­ton Rd., North Hat­ley. The sec­ond ben­e­fit con­cert will take place on Satur­day, June 9th, 7:00 pm, at the Haskell Opera House which is sit­u­ated right on the bor­der, in both Stanstead and Derby Line, Ver­mont.
