Beebe development under budget

Stanstead Journal - - NEWS - Staff Stanstead

While the mayor’s explanation for the one hundred thousand dollar difference in the bids received for the infrastructure project for the Beebe, town-sponsored land development may satisfy him, it is supposedly the effect of going to bid early, seems that it is rather the local repetition of a province wide pattern that has seen bids go down by as much as thirty percent in some places; This having nothing to do with the Hammer squad. One can imagine what the arena would have cost today…

So, in the next two weeks, work should start on this project, which will pay for itself if only one lot is sold a year. According to council, there is almost not a single lot available for construction in town.

This was the major news of the evening in a quiet meeting that saw no major questions raised by the audience.
