With Uplands celebrating its 150th anniversary, a special workshop for young and old along with a few surprises have been planned at the museum on Speid Street. There are also two art exhibitions going on at the museum: one by the art students of Alexander Galt High School and another by painter Sara Peck Colby.

What would Friendship Day be without the sharing of good food? The annual Community Breakfast will be at the United Church, from 7:30 to 10. The Lennoxville firefighters and the ANAF Ladies Auxiliary will run canteens on the grounds of St. Antoine School. The Lennoxville Curling Club will also be serving up food.

With many of the day’s activities taking place outdoors, organizer Karl Hunting commented: “Pray for sunshine! Everything will still go on as planned if we get rainy weather. Several events are indoors so people will just get wet going from one event to another!”
