TheHeart of the Farm, the book about historic barns in the Eastern Townships produced by Louise Abbott and Niels Jensen, has been translated into French. Published by a new non-profit publishing house in Georgeville, the book will get its official launch this Saturday, June 16th, from 3 to 5 pm, at Studio Georgeville.

It is the first book about historic Quebec barns published in French since 1963, and the first book about farming in the Eastern Townships ever published. The text was written by Townships historian Louise Abbott and features 350 photographs taken by Ms. Abbott and her husband, Niels Jensen, as well as many archival photographs.
