July ac­tiv­i­ties at Haskell

Ju­ly­will be packed with ac­tiv­ity at the Haskell Free Li­brary in Derby Line. Funny man ma­gi­cian Tom Joyce will kick off the Sum­mer Read­ing sea­son with a free show for chil­dren and their care­givers in the li­brary 11:00 a.m. Fri­day July 6th. Morn­ing Li­brary Camp for chil­dren go­ing into Grades 1-6 be­gins Mon­day morn­ing July 9th. This free week­long ac­tiv­ity will be full of a va­ri­ety of ac­tiv­i­ties to keep the young­sters busy and be­gins at 9:00 a.m. and runs un­til 12 noon. Space is lim­ited so please pre-reg­is­ter. The Book Club Just for Fun meets to dis­cuss Shake­speare’s A Mid­sum­mer Night’s Dream 6:30 p.m. Tues­day July 15th. Miss Nancy will take a break from Tod­dler Time on June 28th but will be back Thurs­day morn­ing July 5th at 9:45 and will con­tinue through the sum­mer. Tod­dler Time is a short, in­for­mal story time es­pe­cially suited for the youngest fam­ily

mem­bers with spe­cial em­pha­sis on lay­ing a solid foun­da­tion of pre-read­ing skills.
