Old skills on display
Get ready to step back in time. On Sunday, August 12, OLD FASHIONED DAY will be held at the Cookshire Fairgrounds, Macaulay Centre, from 1 to 5 p.m. Over 30 demonstrations and displays of heritage hand crafts and trades, also antique machinery and tools. Watch and learn: quilting, wool spinning, embroidery, crochet, knitting, rug hooking, wood sculpture, blacksmithing, coopering, timber frame construction, heritage gardening, and much more. Admission fee includes tea with homemade scones and jam, horse and wagon rides, “old tyme” music all afternoon. Other food available.
