After an extensive redesign, it is with great pleasure that Townshippers’ Association debuts www.tday.ca, the official website of the 33rd Townshippers’ Day, which takes place in scenic Farnham on Saturday, September 15th, 2012.

Since its founding meeting in October 1979, Townshippers’ Day has grown into the Eastern Townships’ English-speaking community’s largest cultural celebration and information fair, welcoming 8,000 to 10,000 visitors from all linguistic backgrounds. On the third Saturday of September, visitors – English and French – come from far and wide for a day of music, dance, arts, artisans, information, activities, healthy food and fun for all ages.

The official www.tday.ca website, both bilingual and viewable on most mobile devices, features dynamic elements that pay tribute to this well-established annual event while providing all the vital information needed for visitors to make the most of Townshippers’ Day 2012. Surrounded by colours reflecting this vibrant region, visitors to www.tday.ca are greeted by a slideshow presenting a glimpse at the historical and cultural elements that are synonymous with Townshippers’ Day. The locations of the last 32 host towns in each corner of the region, along with this year’s host Farnham, are proudly displayed alongside the history of the day.

Information and downloadable forms can also be found on the website for businesses, individuals and organizations looking to enhance the day through sponsorship, a silent auction donation or as an exhibitor, entertainer or food vendor.

With the launch of the new website, Townshippers’ Day announces its participation in the Fun ‘n Festival Series hosted by WestJet airline. The online contest aims to select Canada’s favourite festival for 2012. Visit Townshippers’ Day at westjetfestivals.com and add your photos, videos and opinions about this unique event and don’t forget to cast your vote!
