Bridge players give to CAB’S Children’s Program

Stanstead Journal - - NEWS - Stanstead

Yesterday,Stanstead’s Jean Harris and Elizabeth Ostiguy, of Ayer’s Cliff, presented a cheque of $300.00, on behalf of the Canada/USA Bridge Group, to the CAB RH Rediker’s Children’s Program. It is the second year in a row that the bridge group has donated the money raised at their season finale, which was held in May, along with money raised throughout the season at the regular bridge games, to the volunteer center for its Children’s Program.

“This year we will encourage our teams to play two games each against the other teams. Because the teams pay $2 each time they play, we would be able to raise more money for the children,” mentioned Mrs. Harris.

New members to the Canada/USA Bridge Group, especially if they join in pairs, are always welcome. They are a very flexible group, with individual teams organizing afternoon or evening bridge games amongst themselves. For more information about joining call Jean Harris at 819 876-5937.
