St. Laurent National Historic Site will present a concert of traditional music from Quebec, Scotland and Ireland with Frank Sears, Lise Beauchemin and Sébastien Deshaies. The trio, composed of Frank Sears on accordion and piano, Lise Beauchemin on violin and piano and Sébastien Deshaies on guitar and violin, performs music from its traditional repertoire and arrangements inspired by swing music from the thirties and the gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt. The three musicians also play their own compositions that combine traditional rhythms and innovative harmonies.
