Street Fes­ti­val com­ing up

The Bor­ough of Len­noxville is hold­ing its third an­nual “Len­noxville Street Fes­ti­val” on Au­gust 25th. Queen Street will be closed be­tween 10:00 am and 3:00 pm to make room for a whole host of ac­tiv­i­ties for the en­tire fam­ily. There will be a chil­dren’s play­ground set up, over one hun­dred ar­ti­sans sell­ing their wares, lo­cal re­tail­ers and veg­etable kiosks, all gath­ered on Queen Street!

Per­form­ing on the Town­ship­pers’ As­so­ci­a­tion stage dur­ing the day will be the horns and strings of Mostly Swing, old time Western mu­sic by The

Coun­try Swingers, al­ter­na­tive rock with Orange O’clock, swing­ing jazz with Louise Thibault and Jon Gearey and orig­i­nal folk rock by Amos Joan­nid­des. Jan Gra­ham and Rock­a­billy Bill Dier and his grand­son will per­form be­tween sets.

On the Cen­ten­nial The­atre Stage will be per­for­mances by Les

Gigoloz, a bar­ber­shop quar­tet, Perry and Friends, La P’tite Veillee with their tra­di­tional Quebec mu­sic and True

Blue with the Blues.
