St. Laurent Puts On Its Sunday Best Option: Trad
On Sunday, August 19 at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., the Louis S. St. Laurent National Historic Site welcomes the traditional music trio Option: Trad whose call-and-- response songs, jigs, and accordion tunes are guaranteed to get you grooving. This event is presented in collaboration with the Louis S. St. Laurent National Historic Site’s Companions.
Reunited specially for this occasion, Option: Trad is composed of Jean-François Branchaud on violin and vocals, Langlais Martin on accordion and gigue and Danny Baillargeon on guitar and bouzouki. Together, they will perform traditional Quebecois songs and original pieces. The three musicians, regulars at the traditional music festival Mémoires et Racines held annually in Lanaudière, are part of several bands, including Les Langues Fourchues and Baqqhus. This show is sure to be a vivid trip down memory lane!
