Stanstead Journal - - FORUM - Coaticook

The Beaulne Museum in Coaticook is pleased to present the third Edition of the Salon des artistes locaux et régionaux. The vernissage will take place on Sunday, September 09 from 2 to 4 p.m. The exhibition will

continue until November 11, 2012. The public and the press are cordially invited.

The success of the two previous editions of the Salon des artistes locaux et régionaux has definitely entered this biennial event in the calendar of the Beaulne Museum. As usual, a special honor is granted to the Coatic’Art art group, which holds the spotlight in the locality. Other artists from the entire region of the Eastern Townships will participate, allowing the Beaulne Museum to complete the summer and enter into the fall with pride. In addition, the 2012 edition has a certain cachet, the right to take part in the centenary celebrations of the Château Norton, which shelters the Museum.

The diversity of mediums and originality of works provided by more than thirty artists, should give this show the quality of engagement of giving and receiving. Painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, jewelry, mosaic, stained glass, textile, etc.: all means of expression by which these artists will demonstrate their technique, their sensitivity, and their attempt to share them. The public will be able to speak with the artists to better absorb the messages conveyed by the works exhibited.

The regional community is invited to come, support the artists, and make this event a resounding success.
