Mu­sic, Mus­ings, and Man­giare al Fresco at First Univer­sal­ist Parish of Derby Line this Sun­day

First Univer­sal­ist Parish in­vites the community to at­tend a mu­sic-filled ser­vice and pic­nic to honor the com­ing of fall and the start of the new church year. The ser­vice will be a gala cel­e­bra­tion with mu­sic ga­lore from around the King­dom, in­clud­ing an ensem­ble of the New­port Area Community Or­ches­tra; Jan­ice Gluck on pi­ano and or­gan; and guest singers Anita Morin, April Streeter, and Molly Moore. Mus­ings will be pro­vided by Lay Min­is­ter Su­san-Lynn Johns, who will re­flect upon the feast of diver­sity that Uni­tar­ian Univer­sal­ism pro­vides for those hun­gry for an­swers. Dur­ing the man­giare al fresco (the pic­nic fol­low­ing the ser­vice!) en­ter­tain­ment will be pro­vided by Tod Pronto (un­plugged) and mem­bers of the cast of QNEK’s The Fab­u­lous 40s Re­vue. If you’ve ever won­dered what the UUs are all about, now is a great chance to find out. Or you could just come for the won­der­ful mu­sic and food!
