In or­der to help the storm vic­tims in Stanstead Town­ship who were af­fected by the tor­ren­tial rains and vi­o­lent winds on the 23rd and 24th of July, 2012, the Min­istry of pub­lic se­cu­rity has an­nounced the Pro­gramme gen­eral d’aide fi­nanciere lors de sin­istres reels ou im­mi­nents.

Dur­ing a dis­as­ter, the pri­or­i­ties are to in­sure that no hu­man life is at risk and to limit the ma­te­rial dam­ages. The min­istry also hopes that the aid through this pro­gram will give those af­fected one less thing to worry about.

ou im­mi­nents aims to sup­port mu­nic­i­pal­i­ties, cit­i­zens, busi­nesses and the or­ga­ni­za­tions af­fected by dis­as­ters.
