Itwas around 9:30 pm, last Tuesday, when Pierre Reid was confirmed as the winner of the Orford riding for his fourth mandate in a row. With a majority of 1,888 votes, Mr. Reid continues the Liberal tradition in Orford.

“The sixty-four engagements that I took during this campaign constitute my working plan for the following years. I intend, as I have done in the past, to carry them out along with the elected municipal officials, economic interveners and social interveners of our riding,” said Mr. Reid.

Mr. Reid also thanks, in particular, the electors in the municipalities of Austin, Bolton East, Bonsecours, Eastman, Lawrenceville, Potton, Saint Benoit du Lac, Ste-Etienne de Bolton, SteAnne de la Rochelle and South Stukely, who are now part of the new riding of Orford.

“It is with much pride that I now represent the entire Memphremagog MRC in Quebec. During the last few months, I have met hundreds of residents from the new area of the riding and it will be a great pleasure for me to cross paths with them on a regular basis.”

Motivated by a profound desire to continue to serve the people of his riding, Pierre Reid intends to be present in his riding, listen to his constituents and continue to play a big role in the realisation of important projects.

To conclude, Mr. Reid thanks all those who worked at his side for over a month. “These people share the same values of ethics and respect as I do. They are experienced people of exemplary devotion. This victory is also theirs. I can never thank them enough.”

Pierre Reid was the clear winner of the Orford riding last Tuesday, winning his fourth mandate.
