Great Card Party
Acardparty was held in the St. James Church Hall on August 6th when 500 was played at 8 tables. Scores were added up with Helena McComb winning ladies high. Ladies 2nd was won by Doris Davis. Gents high went to Harris Olsson. Gents 2nd was won by Greta Nish, playing as agent. Skunk prize was claimed by Karen Patterson. A trick with the 5 of Diamonds was won by Jacqueline Beaulac, 9 no trump went to Sue Nichols. Door prizes were taken home by Marie Samson, Alan Bullock, Glenda Huff, Jean Martin, Jacqueline Beaulac, Pearl Goodsell, Marion Cox, Jack Kimpton, Gail MacDonald, Marion Annesley, Meryl Nutbrown, Leslie Bliss, Bea Juby, Beulah Turnbull, Casey Vriensendrop, Barb Gosselin, Dufferin Annesley, Elvera Patterson, Karen Patterson and Andy Davis. Special prizes were claimed by Alan Bullock, Elvera Patterson, Jack Kimpton, Andy Davis, Leslie Bliss, Beulah Turnbull, Dylan Knight, Meryl Nutbrown and Taryn Otto-Smith. passed away on September 9th, 2012 and funeral services were held on September 14th. The family of Bertrand would like to thank everyone who provided flowers and support during this difficult time. Your expressions of kindness are genuinely appreciated. We would also like to send a special thank you to the Palliative Care Unit at the Magog Hospital. They were all extremely kind and understanding. Finally, we would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all the staff and volunteers at the Manoir Stanstead. The Fauteux family is truly amazed by the love and support that all of you shown.
– Passed away on Saturday, September 8th, 2012, surrounded by family and friends. He was born March 12th, 1943 in Stanstead, Quebec and is predeceased by his mother Helen Carbonneau, father Carroll Mosher, uncles Lloyd and Grant Standish and aunts Lilly Straton and Maggie Patterson. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Rachel, his daughter Shary, sonin-law Bill Calsbeck, daughter Kelly, grandson and best pal Tyler Seminchuk, sister-in-law Patricia Galazzo, brotherin-law John Galazzo, as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews. Also survived by, as close as family, Dean, Marion, and Abigail Gennaro. Gary was a wonderful husband, father, papa, and friend to all who knew him. His sense of humor will be deeply missed. His passing will leave a deep void in the lives of all whom he touched. A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 15th, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5975 Sunset Street, Burnaby, BC.
