Community Supper for teens Thursday
Activitiesfor teens have resumed at the Stanstead Recreation and Culture Centre and a special supper will be held there tomorrow night, at 5:30 pm, to kick off the year.
“Phelps Helps” is the homework program being run by Katie Lowry every Monday and Thursday evening from 5:00 pm to 6:15 pm. It is targeted at grades 7 and 8, however, all ages are welcome. “On Monday I had seven girls from grades 7 to 11,” commented Ms. Lowry who added that the aim of the program is not only to help with homework, but also to “enrich overall the educational experience. It is not only a place where struggling students find help, but an engaging educational environment where students challenge themselves or discuss academic goals and ideas.”
Brittany Butler has returned to be the animator for the teens every Friday night, from 6:30 pm to 8:30pm. If your teen would like to attend the supper, they must contact Marise Trepanier at 819 704-0660 or at Times
