At the Goodrich Memorial Library, Newport

Stanstead Journal - - NEWS -

Aspart of their Fall tour of Vermont, the Heliand Consort’s reed trio will present Winds Take Flight at 7PM on Friday, October 26.

Heliand Consort is a dynamic ensemble of virtuoso musicians who perform engaging classical music with an infusion of 20th century and contemporary repertoire. Now in its sixth season, the group is creating a new atmosphere for chamber music. They bring refined performances into unexpected and intimate spaces such as cafés, libraries, schools, senior and community centers, in addition to performing in traditional concert venues. They interact with audiences to build excitement about live music in these shared cultural experiences. The trio consists of Elisabeth LeBlanc, clarinet, Katie Oprea, oboe, and Rachael Elliott, bassoon. Heliand Consort is a non-profit classical musical ensemble based in Vermont whose mission is to nurture the arts in our communities through excellence and a fresh approach to classical music performance.

This concert is free and open to all. Refreshments will be served after the concert. The Goodrich is handicapped accessible. For information call 334-7902.
